Xbox Live Service Maintenance

On Monday, 9/29/2008 from 08:01am for up to 24 hours, Xbox Live will be offline for maintenance. As a result, Xbox LIVE and the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you won’t be able to post.) The remainder of Xbox.com will be available with limited interruptions.

This service maintenance is in preparation for the new Xbox experience which will be available later this fall.

Let me reiterate: When the service returns, you will not have any new features and you will not have the new Xbox experience update. That will happen later this Fall.

If you have recently obtained a new xbox and have an old hard-drive, to use your downloaded content (Forza will not work on your profiles if you have a different console to where any DLC was downloaded), then you need to migrate your licenses for that DLC. http://www.xbox.com/drm is what you need. Once you have followed this process, you need to redownload the content to your console (If it is already present on the console, it takes about 2 seconds, as all it is doing is downloading the licence.)

this fcking sucks my birthday and no friggin xbox live on it at all.. all day .. this sucks xbox and microsoft you should be ashamed of yourselfs.. bloody pointless updates for some shit we dont even want or need .. and we pay for xbox live .. we loose a day .. we dont get that shit back .. ive lost in total 16 days of live service due to microshit

Live Sky TV viewing via Xbox 360 didn't make it into the most recent dashboard update, readers report page 17 of the network's most recent SkyMag indicates it will arrive around mid-October. Additional details flesh out what's available, while all Xbox Live Gold members (in the appropriate areas) will get access to the Sky Player similar to the PC implementation, you will need a Sky subscription with the appropriate channels to view sports and movie content. Look out for more updates at the skyplayer.com/xbox360 site, while those of us beyond the network's reach wonder whether we can expect other features like Twitter (you're following us, right?) Facebook and 1080p instant-on movie streaming to arrive at roughly the same time.

I Rreally thought i bought a games console not a friggin media entertainment centre.. i dont want facebook or twitter or any of the other shit network sites on my xbox i dont need sky sports either .. i dont want to watch frigging old movies on demand ill wait till they get the usual xmas re runs like every year... all i want to do is play fckin games lol
