Hey chaps. Firstly, let me apologise for my lack of 'being-around-ness' on Live and on the forums in recent months. I'm blaming a combination of internet problems, changed working
hours, and my mate suggesting I play Fallout 3

I will be back though... can't let ALL my mojo slip away before the release of FM3.
Anyway Nemesis, about this data transfer thingy... I did one a few months ago (20gb onto a 120gb) and it was fairly painless. It did take a while (about an hour), but I put that down
to all the Forza paints, lol. Also, before I did it, I removed the games that I'd installed on the drive (from discs, NOT downloads), 'cos I've heard that it's quicker just to re-install any
games on your new drive later.
Before you buy the hard-drive and cable separately though, I'd look into whether you can actually transfer data to a second hand hard-drive. You only get one shot at the transfer,
as the system deletes data from your smaller drive as it transfers (sneaky old Microsoft

). The one I bought from a shop had the cable with it, and was obviously completely
clear to start with. Another tip the guy gave me was to disconnect from Live before you do the transfer, to eliminate the risk of any possible interuptions to the system.
Most importantly: BE PATIENT ! The transfer will take a while, and at points it looks like it's not doing anything at all, when it is.
It's well worth doing, because you can install shit loads of games on it, and as we know, the lack of deafening 'hum' when a disc is going makes a big difference.
Hope this info helps mate. See y'all in a bit.
